Privacy & cookie choices

Your account and household

We use your name, email address, sign-in details and saved kitchen information to provide your account, saved recipes, meal plans, pantry, shopping lists and household sharing. Your kitchen information is shared with the household members you choose. Existing Tasty Recipes accounts and saved-recipe references have been preserved in the redesign.

Sign-in providers share basic account information when you choose to use them. We use Resend to deliver account verification and recovery emails. Cloudflare and OpenAI Sites provide website hosting and storage. These services may process information outside your country. Passwords are stored as secure hashes.

Public recipe reviews

When you choose to publish a review, your chosen display name, rating, review text and publication date are visible to everyone. Your email address and account identifier are not displayed. Public reviews are separate from private household ratings and notes. You can update or remove your public review while signed in.

Essential storage

Sign-in cookies and local storage keep your session, cookie choices and cooking tools working. Local recovery copies help protect unsaved kitchen changes. These essential features do not require optional analytics or advertising cookies.

Google Analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to public pages and use of recipe tools. Google may receive browser and device information, approximate location and page activity. We do not send your account name, email address, private kitchen contents, ingredient exclusions or sign-in tokens to Google Analytics. Account and private kitchen pages are excluded from analytics. To understand where visits come from, we send only the origin of a referring public website. Referral paths, search terms and conversation links are removed. Recognised campaign and recipe-filter URLs can be counted, but their query strings and fragments are removed from analytics page URLs. Only recognised campaign source and medium labels are retained; campaign names, content, search terms and click identifiers are not sent. URLs with private searches, ingredient exclusions, account tokens or unknown parameters remain excluded.

Microsoft Clarity

With your analytics permission, Microsoft Clarity collects interactions with public pages, including clicks, scrolling, device information and session replays, to help us improve recipe browsing. Clarity uses cookies to connect visits. Page text and form contents are masked; account pages, private kitchen pages and URLs containing search parameters are excluded. We do not supply account identifiers to Clarity, and Microsoft advertising storage is denied. You can withdraw permission in Cookie settings. Google advertising

Google AdSense can display ads on eligible public pages, subject to your choices and applicable regional requirements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads. Google manages regional advertising choices. Its consent message is shown in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and its US state privacy controls are shown in supported states. These controls let you consent, refuse or opt out where applicable. You can also disable advertising using Cookie settings below. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's ad settings.

Control your choices

Analytics remains off until you accept the optional analytics invitation or enable it in Cookie settings. You can decline the invitation and keep using the site. Choosing analytics does not change your advertising choice. Advertising follows Google’s regional consent and opt-out controls without a separate worldwide advertising popup. Previously saved advertising refusals remain respected. Disabling analytics or advertising does not stop you from browsing recipes or signing in. You can change your choices at any time.

We keep account information while it is needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations or resolve a request. Public comments or contributions you choose to publish may be visible to other visitors.
