 3-28 oz. Cans Diced Tomatoes (or Tomato Puree, your choice).
 1-6 oz. Can Tomato Paste
 2 Pounds Lean Ground Beef (90/10). (ground turkey or chicken can be substituted).
 2/3 Cup Chopped Green Pepper
 5 Cloves Fresh Garlic, finely diced
 1/2 Sweet Onion, Chopped
 1/2 Cup Dry Red Wine
 2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
 1/4 Cup Dried Oregano
 1 Tsp. Black Pepper
 1/4 Cup Romano Cheese

In a large pot, saute meat over medium high heat until no longer pink. Add diced garlic and onion.

Stir and cook for about 5-7 minutes longer. Add green pepper, cook and stir until meat is nicely browned.

Drain fat from meat and return to pot. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, wine, garlic powder, oregano, pepper and Romano cheese.

Stir well with wooden spoon. Cover and lower heat to simmer. Let simmer for about 45 minutes to one hour, stirring occasionally. Serve with pasta, soft Italian bread and a green salad.
