With all the fresh leafy greens in our Organics Live produce boxes, I wanted to think of a nice, crunchy nutritious topping to add to my salads. These sweet and spicy nuts are great not only in salads, but as a nice decadent snack all on their own!

Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with tin foil and coat with the olive oil.
Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, sea salt, ground pepper and cayenne pepper. Add in the pecans and toss thoroughly, until pecans are coated completely.
Step 3: Scatter the pecans over the baking sheet, keeping a little space between each nut. Bake for 5 minutes, flip pecans and then bake for an additional 7 minutes.
Step 4: Remove pecans from oven, let them cool, and then move them into a jar with a tight cover for sealing airtight.
